“818 Takeover” 10.20.2024 by USA Boxing, hosted at 818 Boxing Club

On Sunday, October 20, 818 Boxing Club in the City of San Fernando, CA was the host of the USA Boxing sanctioned “818 Takeover” amateur boxing event. The hosting gym’s owner, Edgar Ponce, welcomed promising amateurs from various parts of California to compete in the successful event. Mexican Warriors Boxing Club, Ten Goose Boxing, One Shot Boxing, Bakersfield Boxing, 818 Boxing, Lee Espinoza - Coachella Boxing, Showtime Boxing, New Era Boxing, Beat the Streets Boxing, Pullman Gym, Raw Talent Boxing, Triad Boxing, Pacoima Boxing, West End Boxing, Coronel Boxing, Moralez Boxing, and Quicksilver Boxing were represented with great pride by all the participating amateurs.

Coachella Valley’s own Brook Sibian aka “Mighty Brook” (5-0, 2 KOs) was among the guests of honor who partook in awarding hardware to the winners of 818 Takeover.

818 Takeover was the amateur debut of Hernan Reyes (168 lbs) who represented Mexican Warriors Boxing Club of Sylmar, CA. Reyes earned the hard fought victory against the tough Abraham Kennmedy (177 lbs) of Orozco Boxing.

Aldo Gutierrez 129 lbs (Raw Talent Boxing | black trunks) vs Miguel Ramirez 132 lbs (Pacoima Boxing | blue trunks) at #usaboxing #818takeover. Much respect to both Gutierrez and Ramirez for putting their best efforts at the event. Congratulations to Ramirez on the hard fought victory.

Jayden Aparicio 78 lbs (Moralez Boxing | red trunks) vs Isaiah Gomez 79 lbs (One Shot Boxing | blue trunks) at #usaboxing #818takeover hosted by @818boxing | Much respect to both Aparicio and Gomez for putting their skills on full display. Congratulations to Gomez on the hard fought victory.
