The Grand Opening of Joel Iriarte’s Warmup Athletics in Hometown Bakersfield, CA

Ahead of his 5th professional fight, November 2nd 2024, on Goldenboy Promotions’ Floyd Schofield vs Rene Giron undercard at Virgin Hotels Theater - Las Vegas, Joel Iriarte welcomed family, friends, local government representatives and media to the October 12th grand opening ceremony of his lifelong passion project: Warmup Athletics.

Although Iriarte had dreams of his own boxing gym dating back years, the completion of Warmup Athletics roughly took only 2 months, starting around his 4th pro fight in August. The expedite execution of Iriarte’s gym was made possible by the relentless hard work and efficient collaboration amongst the 17x national champion Iriarte, local community connections, and most importantly Iriarte’s beloved father Temo Iriarte.
